Hey everyone! My name is Andy Nguyen, a Houston-based wedding and portrait photographer. I’ve been running my photography business for a little over 3 years now. What started as just a hobby of mine has now turned into something that I’m deeply passionate about. I’m so grateful to be doing something that I truly love and that I find fulfilling.
I was born in Nebraska but lived a majority of my life in Houston, TX. Currently pursuing my bachelor’s in accountancy at the University of Houston where I plan to graduate Fall of 2022 (that’s this year!). Aside from school, in the future I’d like to open up my very own studio for fellow creatives like myself.
Many get me confused when I tell them I consider myself an introvert with extroverted tendencies. I like boba over coffee. I’m a PC gamer (sorry console players). And in my spare time I like watching k-dramas and anime. I’ll always be down for sushi, and I hate to admit but I have a major sweet tooth.
Choosing me as your photographer means blasting music at our shoots, laughing when we mess up, and having fun throughout it. But it also means guiding you through posing, giving you location and outfit/prop recommendations prior, and most important – helping you be your most authentic and confident self.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO PHOTOGRAPHY?
I got my camera for Christmas previously but I didn’t really start taking pictures until my senior year of high school. It all started with senior photos but now I help capture couples, families, and weddings!
WHAT IS YOUR EDITING STYLE?
I want my clients to look back at their images and remember that moment in their life. My editing style is very true-to-life, that means no fancy colors and no trendy edits. I try to keep my colors and skin tones as original as possible.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING PHOTOGRAPHY?
I’ve had my camera for maybe four years but professionally, I’ve been doing photography since 2019. In the beginning it was inconsistent but now, photography has been a major part of my life.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECT TO PHOTOGRAPH?
I absolutely love photographing couples! Some of my favorite sessions have been couple and engagement sessions. There’s something so exciting and fulfilling behind being able to capture the love between two people.

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
I will always be your biggest cheerleader no matter what. At weddings, when you’re behind schedule, when you’re stressed because the rings are lost, when everything seems to be going wrong … I will be there to calm you down, to let you know that everything is going to be okay. I will be there to make sure you have that special first look with your mom or dad you’ve been looking forward to. I will be there to make sure you’re always looking your best. And I’ll be there to make sure you’re having a great time. I am on your team.
Even at regular photoshoots, I will be there for you. Cracking jokes, blasting music, cheering you on! Helping and guiding you along during the shoot. I am specific and detail-oriented with every session. I look out for background distractions, how your hair looks, and all the little things.
